***Sikh Priest required****
An opportunity has arisen for the post of a Sikh Priest at Gurdwara Baba Budha Sahib Ji Peterborough UK.
The duties of the Sikh Priest shall be:

To carry out the daily worshiping duties in the morning (Prakash) and evening (sukhassan).

Recite the holy Guru Granth Sahib Ji during the Akhand Patth ceremonies.

Recite sehej path, Sukhmani Sahib, and perform Kirtan as and when required including on each Sunday Service and on special occasions such as Gurpurbs, weddings and Sikh festivals, etc.

To prepare and serve the Karah Parshad (holy food) to the worshippers during congregations.

Keep the holy darbar sahib and sachkhand rooms in utmost clean and hygienic conditions.
Skills, experience, and qualifications required:

Be competent in reading and reciting Guru Granth Sahib Ji and participating in Akhand Patth sahib.

Be competent in carrying out the Kirtan duties.

Has a complete knowledge and understanding of the Sikh Code of Conduct (Sikh Rehat Maryada)

Can make Karah Parshad and Langar at the Gurdwara Sahib and serve it to the Gurdwara worshipers.

Has a minimum 2-year practical experience of performing Sikh Priest duties in a recognised Sikh Temple.

Duration and Remuneration:
-
It is a full-time post for a period of 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance during the first 3 months.

The salary will be paid at the National Minimum Wage level.

If needed, the employee and dependents can be accommodated at the Gurdwara Sahib premises.

The applicant, from time to time, shall be required to perform the above duties at private homes away from the Sikh temple.
